October 4[edit]
- Venezuela 8, Netherlands Antilles 6. The Antilleans looked set for an upset, leading 6-0 after four and a half with a quick offensive start and good pitching from 47-year-old Didi Gregorius. Venezuela rallied, though, and went on to win in the 10th. LF Willie Vasquez hit a 3-run homer and Rene Cortez tossed 2 2/3 perfect innings of relief for the win. Quincy Lambertina got the loss.
- Cuba 8, Nicaragua 1. Nicaragua, like the Antilles, also looked upset-bound for a good stretch. 3B Jimy Gonzalez singled in CF Eduardo Romero in the 4th off Freddy Asiel Alvarez. Meanwhile, Elvin Orozco blanked Cuba for 5 1/3 innings. Cuba finally got on the board in the 7th and wound up with a 7-run win. - Argentina 4, Netherlands Antilles 3. In a rematch of the Bronze Medal game from the 2010 South American Games, Argentina again beats the Antilles to show the progress they've made in baseball. Former minor leaguer Federico Tanco allows one run in seven to duel well with Johnny Gregorius (1 run in 5). Relievers Ruderly Manuel and Quincy Lambertina prove ineffective, though, Lambertina taking the loss in extra innings for the second time this tourney. Five Argentinians get multiple hits, while Antillian 1B Andley Simmons has the game's lone homer.
- United States 8, Dominican Republic 3. The US pounds former Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colón for six runs in 2 1/3 innings as they put it away early. 1B Eric Hosmer (3 for 4, R, RBI) leads a balanced attack. 3B-1B Tony Batista homers for the losing side.

Mario Peña and José Luis Sáenz combine on a five-hit shutout, while Diego Etcheverria is handed the loss. 2B Mario Holmann goes 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI; in a losing cause, Gabriel Sanso goes 3 for 3, getting over half of Argentina's hits in their finale.
October 7[edit]
- Cuba 11, Netherlands Antilles 4. In a matchup between an unbeaten team and a winless one, the outcome was never really a question. C Yulexis La Rosa goes 5 for 6 with two runs and four RBI to lead a 15-hit Cuban onslaught.
- Dominican Republic 11, Aruba 6. In a contest that had already been rained out twice and was now meaningless, Aruba put up a surprising show and led 6-3 after 5 1/2 before fading. 5 errors and 10 walks did them, with Conrad Orman taking the loss. - Puerto Rico 5, Nicaragua 1. Hiram Burgos and Juan Padilla combine to hold Nicaragua to one run, while Julio Ráudez surrenders five in under five innings. 1B Gabriel Martinez homers twice and drives in four. Nicaragua is out of the medal round.

In the top of the 12th, the US finally went ahead on a 2-run double by C Jordan Pacheco off Edgar Martinez. A 2-run error by veteran Venezuelan 1B Javier Colina put it further out of reach. The two teams finished a combined 15-for-83.
- Dominican Republic 9, Cuba 6. Cuba falls from the ranks of the unbeaten in a match that saw seven of the eight pitchers used (Dario Veras the lone exception) give up runs. - Cuba 4, Puerto Rico 0. Freddy Asiel Alvarez and Yadier Pedroso team up on the day's second combined shutout, while both Alfredo Despaigne and José Dariel Abreu go deep. Efrain Nieves takes the loss.
October 11[edit]
- Panama 5, Nicaragua 2. In a match of Central American rivals, Panama takes a spot in the 2011 Pan American Games and 2011 World Cup with a strong four-man pitching show. Gilberto Mendez gets the win, Berman Espinoza the loss. DH Carlos Muñoz doubles, homers and drives in three.
- Venezuela 17, Dominican Republic 4. Venezuela makes it to the medal round by pounding the Dominican hurlers for 19 hits and 17 runs; starter Sandy Nin retires no one in the loss. Medal Round[edit]
October 12[edit]
- Dominican Republic 7, United States 2. The US picked a bad time to lose their first game, dropping one by a wide margin to the Dominicans. Ricardo Nanita started the scoring on a passed ball by Jordan Pacheco in the third. An inning later, Todd Frazier tied it with a single, the only run Mario Alvarez gave up in five innings. Nanita put the Dominicans ahead again in the 5th with a RBI single, then Tony Batista singled in two more runs in the 7th. The US closed it to 4-2 in the bottom of that inning as Cord Phelps grounded in Frazier. The Dominicans put it away with three in the 9th, capped by a 2-run homer by Willis Otáñez. Dario Veras got the save. Danny Duffy took the loss with 7 hits and two runs in 4 1/3 IP but he had the lowest ERA of the US's four hurlers. Jose Constanza went 3 for 4 with a run.
- Cuba 3, Venezuela 2. Veteran southpaw Yulieski González can't do anything right today as he opens by allowing hits to 2B Oscar Angulo, SS Dirimo Chávez and LF Willie Vasquez before manager Eduardo Martin yanked him in favor of Jonder Martínez. DH Ronald Acuna singled in Vasquez later in the inning but Martínez allowed no other runs through 5 2/3 innings. Cuba slowly got back into the game against Jesús Yépez, scoring in the third and in the sixth. Yadier Pedroso was Cuba's third hurler and tossed 3 1/3 shutout innings for the win as the bullpen came through when the starting faltered. In the bottom of the 9th, Cuba finally took the lead against reliever Carlos Mori. 2B Héctor Olivera Jr. singled. With one away, Michel Enríquez doubled. DH Frederich Cepeda was intentionally walked to load the bases for reigning Cuban MVP Alfredo Despaigne. The move backfired as Despaigne singled in Olivera with the winner.
October 13[edit]
- Gold Medal Game: Dominican Republic 5, Cuba 2. The tourney's All-Star right-handed pitcher, Norge Vera, looked anything but as he gave up 5 runs in 1/3 of an inning before Yulieski González blanked the Dominicans the rest of the way. LF Alexis Gómez hit a 3-run triple in the explosive first. Lorenzo Barcelo got the win, allowing only one run in five, then Willy Lebrón blanked Cuba for the next three before Dario Veras got the save.
