Outfielder Arthur Bonevacia played five seasons in the minors.
Bonevacia was signed by the Baltimore Orioles three months after he turned 16. He hit .241/.357/.270 for Venoco in the 2005 Venezuelan Summer League with 30 walks in 53 games. He tied for 10th in the VSL in free passes. Back with Venoco in '06, Arthur batted .287/.375/.385 with 25 walks and six triples in 54 games. He tied for second in the VSL in three-baggers.
In 2007, Bonevacia hit .272/.348/.358 for the GCL Orioles in his US debut. At age 20 in 2008, he had a batting line of .256/.341/.308 for the Bluefield Orioles and went 4 for 25 with a walk for the Aberdeen Ironbirds. The next year, Bonevacia hit .195/.271/.271 for Aberdeen.
Bonevacia played for the Netherlands Antilles national team in the 2010 South American Games, 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games and 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. For 2011, he signed with Sparta/Feyenoord in the Hoofdklasse. He pinch-hit on Opening Day and drew a walk from Diegomar Markwell.
