Lorvin Louisa spent 7 seasons in the minor leagues but never advanced beyond A ball.

Louisa hit .136/.221/.186 in 36 games for the GCL Expos in 2000. In 2001, he batted .173/.241/.231 in 46 games fr the same club, striking out in 54 of 156 AB. Louisa played in 2002 for the Clinton Lumber Kings (.177/.248/.258 in 41 games, 55 K in 124 AB) and Vermont Expos (.145/.199/.208 in 48 games, 66 K in 159 AB). The free-swinging outfielder did not show impressive power or speed on the basepaths, but the Expos kept him around. In 2003, he hit .206/.258/.307 for Vermont with 73 K in 218 AB (his 5 homers tied Josh Whitesell for the team lead, one positive) and he was 1 for 29 with a walk and 13 K's for the Savannah Sand Gnats. He made 8 errors for Vermont, leading outfielders in the New York-Penn League.

Louisa split 2004 between Vermont (.184/.265/.245 in 15 games, 27 K in 49 AB) and the GCL Expos (.308/.372/.385 in 11 G, 14 K in 39 AB). In 2005, he hit .211/.258/.331 in his 4th season in Vermont; he struck out in 56 of 175 AB while drawing 8 walks. In 2006, Lorvin went 6 for 15 with 2 walks and a double for the GCL Nationals but it was too little, too late as his Organized Baseball career ended.

In 2008, Louisa hit .274/.483/.419 for Santa Maria in the Curacao league. His 2 homers tied Ardley Jansen, Johnny Gregorius and one other player for the lead. He tied Randolph Kirindongo and Quincy Ascencion for the lead with 24 walks. He joined the revived Netherlands Antilles national team for the 2008 Haarlem Baseball Week, in which he went 3 for 16 with a double, homer and 9 strikeouts; his 4 runs produced tied Kirindongo for the team lead.

During the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, Louisa hit .278/.409/.667 with 2 homers and 6 RBI in 7 games, a key reason the Antilles won a spot in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. He continued to strike out frequently, with 9 Ks in 18 AB. He was 8th in the Americas Baseball Cup in slugging, tied for 9th in RBI, tied for 5th in homers and tied with former major leaguer José Hernández for second in strikeouts, one behind leader and former AAA star Luis A. Garcia. He broke a 1-1 tie against Brazil with a solo homer off Marcelo Arai in the 8th inning to give the Antilles a 2-1 victory.

Louisa played for the Netherlands Antilles in the 2010 South American Games.
