Enrique Tromp

Enrique Tromp was 2 for 9 with a walk, double and a run for the Aruban national team in the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, fielding .960 at 1B. [1] He went 1 for 8 with a walk in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament; he fielded .933 as their main first baseman. He was not the only Tromp on the team, which also had Jiandido Tromp. [2] Enrique hit .232/.294/.434 as a regular for ADO in the 2011 Hoofdklasse, with a team-high four homers. He fielded .975. He tied for fourth in the league in dingers (behind Bryan Engelhardt, Percy Isenia and Sidney de Jong). [3] He fell to .143/.264/.176 with no homers for the team in 2012, fanning in 44 of 91 AB. He fielded .976. He led the league in whiffs, six more than Linoy Croes and was 6th with 25 double plays turned (between Benjamin Dille and Randy Reiph. [4]
