Biographical Information

Julio Denis was 1-3 with two saves and a 4.40 ERA for the 2009 VSL Pirates with 31 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings. He starred for the Panamanian national team in an outing in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, shutting out Venezuela for eight innings before reliever Gilberto Mendez blew it. He was 1-0 with a 5.59 ERA in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. In the 2013 Bolivarian Games, he fanned nine and allowed two hits and no walks or runs in a win over Peru; Panama won Gold.
