Sandor Guido has played frequently for the Nicaraguan national team.
In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, the 22-year-old was 1 for 4 with a walk while backing up Prospero Baca at first base. He helped Nicaragua win Gold in the 2001 Central American Games. He was 5 for 23 in the 2003 Pan American Games. During the 2003 Baseball World Cup, he hit .069/.250/.207 with 11 strikeouts in 29 AB; he scored 5 runs in 9 games while taking over at starting first base. Guido was 0 for 6 with a walk as a backup in the 2005 Baseball World Cup.
Guido went 0 for 5 in the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games. In the 2006 COPABE Olympic Qualifiers, Sandor hit .400/.571/.867 but Nicaragua didn't qualify for the 2008 Olympics. He went 0 for 8 with a strikeout in the 2007 Pan American Games. In the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, Guido hit .286/.412/.357.
