Carlos Ladeuth pitched his 7th season in the minors in 2009.

Ladeuth signed with the Houston Astros in 2002. He was 1-2 for Venoco in the 2003 Venezuelan Summer League. In '04, he had a 1-3, 2.66 record for the club. He really improved in 2005, going 4-1 with six saves and a 0.98 ERA for the VSL Astros. He was third in the VSL in ERA. In the finals, he started game two of the best-of-3 series against the favored VSL Mariners and shut them down on a 2-hit, no-walk, 8-strikeout gem.

Carlos made his first trip to the US minors in 2006, with the Greeneville Astros, fanning 43 in 40 innings. He was 1-1 with a save, a 1.58 ERA and a .170 opponent average. In '07, he was 2-4 with two saves and a 2.41 ERA for the Tri-City ValleyCats, walking only 8 in 52 1/3 IP. Had he qualified, he would have been 6th in the New York-Penn League in ERA.

The right-hander struggled with the 2008 Lexington Legends (6-11, 4.15) but still fanned 107 in 117 innings and was better than team average in ERA. That wasn't enough for Houston to keep him around any more and they let the 24-year-old go.

Ladeuth signed with the independent Yuma Scorpions in 2009, on a team which was composed primarily of fellow Colombians. He had a 4-4, 4.88 record as one of their better hurlers (the ace was former major leaguer Emiliano Fruto).

Carlos pitched for Colombia in the 2010 South American Games, helping them win a Silver Medal.
