Biographical Information[edit]

Elias Saenz debuted for the Panamanian national team as a 20-year-old in the 2001 Baseball World Cup. Only Roberto Gutiérrez was younger on the team. Saenz was awful, allowing hits to four of six batters he faced and walking another. He was charged with 3 runs in 2/3 of an inning for a team-worst 40.50 ERA. He took one loss. He was with Panama for the 2003 Baseball World Cup but did not get into a game for the Silver Medalists.

The right-hander was back with Panama for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
