Simon hit .245/.351/.286 for the Pirates in 2007 and fielded .894 as their main third baseman. Just like Kinheim, Amsterdam would win the Holland Series the year after Roderick left town. In 2008, he put up a .275/.368/.312 line for Sparta/Feyenoord and fielded .880 at the hot corner.

At age 32, Simon made a late-career improvement, hitting .322/.423/.357 and fielded .940 at third for Sparta/Feyenoord in the 2009 Hoofdklasse. He was 12th in the league in OBP and was the second-best third baseman in fielding percentage, trailing only Raily Legito.

He had in 2010 (.330/.404/.371) and made the first Hoofdklasse All-Star Game. Had he qualified, he would have been 7th in the league in average. He went 1 for 6 with a walk and two runs for the Aruban national team in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament.
