DOOR Neptunus won 23 games in a row to open the season, setting a new league record for consecutive wins in a season. The streak did not end until early July. They went on to win the 2010 Holland Series for their 13th title, a new Hoofdklasse record. Their top star was Leon Boyd, who finished with a 0.39 ERA to win Pitcher of the Year honors. The MVP was Kinheim outfielder Bryan Engelhardt, who led the league in slugging, homers, RBI, steals, hits and total bases.

All-Star Game[edit]

On July 4, the first Hoofdklasse All-Star Game was held. Dwayne Kemp was named MVP as his North team won, 7-4. Jean-Paul Gulinck got the decision. See 2010 Hoofdklasse All-Star Game for details.
