Jean-Paul Gulinck has pitched in the Hoofdklasse. In 2006, the 22-year-old southpaw was 4-1 with a 2.93 ERA for Kinheim. In the 2006 Holland Series, Gulinck started game three. He walked five and allowed five runs in 1 1/3 innings before being yanked in favor of Duko Jansen in a loss to the Konica Minolta Pioniers. Kinheim still won the Series.
Gulinck was 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA in 2007, pitching in relief for Kinheim. He did not pitch in the 2007 Holland Series, which Kinheim won. Moving to RCH in 2008, he fell to 1-8, 5.24 with 48 walks in 55 innings. He was third in the league in walks and tied for third in losses.
Jean-Paul had a 0-3, 8.24 record in 2009, walking an atrocious 32 in 22 2/3 innings. He tied Nick Stuifbergen for 10th in the loop in free passes. He returned to Kinheim in 2010. In the 2010 European Cup, Gulinck was 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA which was somewhat deceptive as three of the five runs he allowed were unearned. In a game against Fortitudo Bologna, he relieved Jurjen van Zijl with a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the ninth and one aboard. He promptly surrendered a homer to Jairo Ramos Gizzi to end the contest.
