B.S.C. Almere'90
(Redirected from Almere Magpies)
B.S.C. Almere'90 is a baseball club located in Almere, Netherlands that had a senior club in the Hoofdklasse. It was established in 1982 as the Polmerians and changed their name in 1990 to B.S.C. Almere'90 after a merger with the New Giants. In 1995, it merged with De Spartaan of Amsterdam and again in 2000 merged with Xanthos. The senior baseball club has been known as Instant Holland A'90 and in 2007, they became the Almere Magpies. They have never won the Hoofdklasse title. The numerous mergers helped prevent relegation but they never finished above sixth from 2000-2007 and finished 9th in the first half at least three times. They went only 65-172 in that span and were relegated out of Hoofdklasse for 2008. They last played in the Hoofdklasse in 2010.
They play their home games in Fanny Blankers Koen Sportpark in Almere.
They have also fielded a women's team.
