Biographical Information[edit]
Despite having only 6 RBI in the regular season, Alexis Gomez drove in four runs in Game 2 of the 2006 ALCS. Among non-pitchers, his 6 regular season RBI were the fewest ever by a player with 4 RBI in a postseason game. That 2006 postseason would be his last big league action.
Gómez was 1 for 5 for the Águilas Cibaeñas in the 2008 Caribbean Series.
Gomez became a coach with the Inland Empire 66ers in 2015 until June when he moved down to the Orem Owlz. He returned to Orem in 2016 then moved to the DSL Angels in 2017 and AZL Angels in 2018.
His wife's name is Mari.
