Ezequiel Cufré was a pitcher for Argentina in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifiers, posting a 6.75 ERA. He helped Argentina to a Gold in the 2011 South American Championship and again in the 2012 South American Championship. In the 2013 South American Championship, he got the nod in the Gold Medal game against 5-0 Brazil. He allowed one run in eight but was outdueled by Rômulo Shindo; Guido Monis took over in the 9th and Argentina rallied to win in extra innings. He played for Argentina in the 2015 South American Championship. He has played in the Italian minors. In 2015, he hit .297/.379/.405 for Tonno Insuperabilefg in Serie A Federale and was 5-5 with a save and a 4.56 ERA on the mound.

He helped Argentina to a Silver Medal in the 2016 South American Championship. He was 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA in the round-robin phase, fanning 8 in 7 IP, but was roughed up for 3 runs in 2 1/3 IP in the Gold Medal game against Brazil. In the round-robin, he tied Leandro Juárez and Randy Consuegra for second in whiffs, 7 behind Miguel Puello and had the lowest ERA of any pitcher to allow a run. His .125 opponent average in that phase was 7th, between Juan Corpas and Claudio Matumoto Jr. When Argentina won the 2018 South American Championship to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games, he had a 5.06 ERA in two games, both against runner-up Brazil.
