Biographical Information[edit]

Kenny Hart played four seasons in the minors and was on the Aruban national team.

He was signed by Seattle Mariners scouts Patrick Guerrero and Karel Williams. [1] He hit .198/.268/.238 for the 2008 VSL Mariners. In 2009, he improved to .276/.407/.408 for the same team with 30 walks and 32 runs in 56 games. He tied for 9th in the Venezuelan Summer League in triples (3), was 7th in walks (between Jose Colmenares and Elías Díaz) and ranked 6th in OBP (between Roan Salas and Junior Sosa). [2] In 2010, he remained steady at .288/.413/.404 for the same team.

In the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifier, he was 3 for 13 with a hit-by-pitch, two runs and three RBI for Aruba - all of his hits went for extra bases (two doubles, homer) and he led Aruba in slugging (.615 to .467 for runner-up Sicnarf Loopstok). [3] In 2011, he batted .265/.419/.442 with 15 doubles, 5 homers, 38 runs, 24 RBI, 34 walks and 13 steals in 15 tries over 59 games for the VSL Mariners in his fourth year with them. He was 10th in the league in steals, tied Rusbel Fariñez and Jesús Ugueto for 8th in doubles, tied for 10th in home runs, tied Kelly Aponte and Jose Roman for 7th in walks, 6th in OBP (between Pedro Okuda and Leopoldo Correa), 8th in OPS (between Willians Astudillo and Roman), and first in times plunked (16). [4] He ended his pro career with a .259/.387/.383 batting line, 27 steals in 37 tries and 103 runs in 192 games, fielding .946 in the outfield.
