2011 Seattle Mariners / Franchise: Seattle Mariners / BR Team Page[edit]
Record: 67-95, Finished 4th in AL Western Division (2011 AL)
Managed by Eric Wedge
Coaches: Mike Brumley, Chris Chambliss, Jeff Datz, Jaime Navarro, Robby Thompson and Carl Willis
Season[edit]
The 2011 Seattle Mariners had the worst losing streak in franchise history, losing 17 consecutive games from July 5-26. They had been, somewhat surprisingly, in the middle of the race for the AL West division title before the streak started, but were in last place, 14 ½ games back when it ended. The 17th loss in the series was a bad one, as they fanned 18 times and got only one hit against CC Sabathia. Only one other team since 1900 had one or less hit and 18 or more Ks in a game.
Awards and Honors[edit]
- All-Stars: Felix Hernandez, Brandon League and Michael Pineda
