Karel Williams
Karel Williams hit .351/.458/.378 with 10 runs in 10 games for the Netherlands Antilles in the 1984 Amateur World Series, though he made four errors in center field. He led his team in runs, walks (7) and OBP and had a much better OBP than Team USA's Barry Bonds among others. Williams was an infielder for the Aruban national team in the 1987 Intercontinental Cup. Karel later managed Aruba in the 1995 World Port Tournament and 1996 Haarlem Baseball Week. He scouted for the Seattle Mariners in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, signing Wladimir Balentien, Kenny Hart, Eugene Helder, Reginald Lampe and Gianfranco Wawoe.
