Biographical Information

Bryan Henry reached AA in 2010.

Henry was 11-1 with a 0.77 ERA, 7 walks and 110 strikeouts in 72 innings as a college senior, winning All-State honors; he also hit .360. The Pittsburgh Pirates took him in the 47th round of the 2002 amateur draft. In junior college, he batted .386 and was 6-5 with a 2.90 ERA. Transferring to FSU, he was 9-3 with a 2.22 ERA, 18 walks in 89 innings and a .221 opponent average. He tied for 6th in the Atlantic Coast Conference in ERA and won All-Conference honors.

As a junior in 2006, Bryan was 9-4 with a 2.88 ERA, including a streak of 27 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings. He was 9th in the ACC in ERA and was again All-ACC. Returning for his senior year, he had a 14-2, 2.60 ERA with a .238 opponent average, 117 strikeouts and only 27 walks in 117 2/3 IP. He was first in the ACC in wins, strikeouts and innings and fourth in ERA. Henry tied Adam Mills for the most wins in NCAA Division I. He was All-ACC for the third straight season, winning Conference Pitcher of the Year honors. Collegiate Baseball and the American Baseball Coaches Association named him first-team All-American, while Baseball America picked him second-team, behind Mills, Preston Guilmet, Jacob Thompson and David Price.

The Arizona Diamondbacks took Henry in the 12th round of the 2007 amateur draft; he was scouted by Luke Wrenn. In his pro debut, he was unimpressive at 5-3, 5.28 for the Missoula Osprey with a .302 opponent average. With the 2008 South Bend Silver Hawks, he was 4-6 with a save, 3.10 ERA and .226 opponent average. Henry turned in a 5-5, 3.15 record for the 2009 Visalia Oaks, with only 21 walks in 105 2/3 innings.

In 2010, the right-hander was 6-4 with a 3.49 ERA for the Mobile BayBears. He made Team USA for the 2010 Pan American Games Qualification Tournament.

Henry served as a volunteer assistant coach at Florida State University and pitching coach at Florida A&M University. He was named head coach at Tallahassee Community College for 2023.
