Biographical Information[edit]

Nick Bucci was drafted in the 18th round of the 2008 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He was signed by scout Jay Lapp and made his pro debut in 2008. He had pitched for the Canadian junior national team before being picked in the draft.

In his debut with the AZL Brewers, he struck out 14 in 11 innings but went 0-3 with a 7.36 ERA. In 2009, he went 6-3 with a 4.41 ERA in 13 games for the sub-.500 Helena Brewers, showing some promise. He was then put on Canada's roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup. In his best season, he went 8-11, 3.84 as a starter for the Brevard County Manatees of the Florida State League in 2011, but he never made it AA. He was set back by injuries in 2012 and only made one start in 2013 before ending his career.
