Detroit, MI
(Redirected from Detroit)
Detroit is the largest city in Michigan, located in the southeastern part of the state, on the St. Clair River which forms the border with Canada as it flows into Lake Erie. Windsor, ON lies across the river, to the south. Detroit has been the center of the U.S. automobile industry since the start of the 20th century, but the city has fallen on hard economic times as the industry has suffered from off-shoring and competition from abroad starting in the late 1970s.
