Bert Blue was 30 when he played his one season in the majors. He also played several seasons in the minors, and managed at least once. A Bert Blue was also on the roster for a team in the short-lived United States Baseball League in 1912.  Through 2019, the only other big league players with the last name Blue have been Lu and Vida Blue.
