Lake Erie
Lake Erie is one of the five Great Lakes, and forms part of the border between the United States and Canada. It is located southwest of Lake Ontario, to which it is connected by the Niagara River, and south of Lake Huron, to which it is connected by the St. Clair River and Lake St. Clair.
The lake shore touches the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan and the Canadian province of Ontario. The largest city on the lake is Cleveland, OH; other major cities are Buffalo, NY, Erie, PA and Toledo, OH.
The Lake has lent its name to some minor league and summer collegiate baseball teams such as the Lake Erie Crushers and Lake Erie Monarchs, but not to any leagues.
