Biographical Information[edit]

Ike Blessitt's big league career consisted of four games with the Detroit Tigers in 1972, called up from the Toledo Mud Hens that September. In five at bats, he failed to reach base. In 1977, his final year in organized baseball with the Holyoke Millers of the Eastern League (a Brewer affiliate) he led the loop with 104 RBI. Ike did much of his damage in Mexico, playing there for 20 years with parts of two seasons in the AAA equivalent Mexican League. In 1989, he played for the Orlando Juice of the Senior Professional Baseball Association, hitting .329 in 49 games. In 2007, he was the manager of the Detroit Danger Women's Elite Baseball Team.
