Biographical Information

Red Downey was one of eleven players who appeared in right field for the 1909 Brooklyn Superbas. Downey had been at Georgetown University in 1906-08.

Also in 1909, he played in the Texas League and hit .346 to lead the league while playing at Oklahoma City.
