Biographical Information[edit]
Chuck Templeton began his pro career in 1951. He missed the 1953 season due to military service at the time of the Korean War, then was in the majors with the Brooklyn Dodgers by 1955. However, an injury cut his career short, with his last professional season in 1957.
After his return from military service, he played first with the Montreal Royals and then with the Union City Dodgers in 1954. With an impressive fastball, he went 10-3 for Union City. The next year, 1955, he was 14-9 with the St. Paul Saints and came briefly to the Brooklyn Dodgers, although he did not play in post-season.
He was back with St. Paul in 1956 and 1957 and pitched again briefly for Brooklyn in 1956.
