Biographical Information[edit]

Fred Schemanske appeared only in 2 major league games in one season, 1923, when he was 20 years old, with the Washington Senators. His pitching was not spectacular, as he gave up 3 runs in 1 inning. However, as a hitter he was good, going 2-for-2 to become part of the 1.000 batting club.

Walter Johnson was the top pitcher on the team that year, while Goose Goslin and Sam Rice were the big-name position players.
