Biographical Information[edit]
Elmer "Lefty" Miller was a two-way player in his only season in the majors. With the 1929 Philadelphia Phillies he appeared in eight games as a pitcher, with a record of 0-1. As a position player, he appeared in four games as a right fielder, showing good range and making no errors (Chuck Klein was the regular right fielder that year). In total, he appeared in 31 games, presumably mostly as a pinch-hitter. He hit .237.
He is not to be confused with another player named Elmer Miller who played between 1912 and 1922.
