Biographical Information[edit]
In between stints in the majors, outfielder Elmer Miller played for the St. Paul Saints from 1919 to 1921. He hit .314 for the club in 1919, leading the American Association with 15 home runs. The next year, he batted .333, and in 1921, he hit .313 in 102 games before rejoining the New York Yankees in 1921.
There is uncertainty about Miller's date of birth. While most sources lists July 28, 1890 in Sandusky, OH, census information points to a birth in Terre Haute, IN two years earlier.
