Biographical Information[edit]

Jake Aydelott played two seasons in the major league American Association. While his 5-7 record in 1884 may not sound like much, his team only won 29 games all season, finishing 29-78. He played in the minor leagues from 1883 to 1889. Other managerial stops, in addition to the ones listed below, include: 1888 Indiana State League: Marion and South Bend; 1890 Indiana State League: Bluffton; 1891 Wisconsin League: Marinette; 1896 Kentucky-Indiana League: Madisonville. These were fledgling leagues/teams for which the record is incomplete.

Patent No. 336076 was issued to Jacob S. Aydelott on February 16, 1886 for a "Parlor Baseball Game".
