Skip Bertman

As head coach of Louisiana State University from 1984 to 2001, Skip Bertman had a record of 870-330-3 with 5 College World Series in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 2000. He retired from the field in 2001 and became the athletic director at LSU.
Bertman was a catcher at the University of Miami from 1958 to 1960, and an assistant coach at UM under Ron Fraser from 1976 to 1983. He previously coached Miami-Dade Downtown in 1975 and Miami Beach High School for 11 seasons.
Bertman coached Team USA in the 1988 Baseball World Cup and managed them in the 1996 Olympics.
