Biographical Information[edit]
Ken Wilson began his career calling games for the AAA Hawaii Islanders. During this time, he became the sports director for Honolulu's NBC affiliate and was named Hawaii Sportscaster of the Year in 1976. The following year, he became part of the first broadcast team of the Seattle Mariners, along with Dave Niehaus. He remained with the M's through 1982. He then went on to announce the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues of the NHL, the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, California Angels and Oakland Athletics.
On January 19, 2011, the Mariners announced that Wilson would return to the M's booth on a rotating basis along with other basis along with several other former M's announcers, filling the spot vacated by his original M's announcing partner Dave Niehaus. Wilson and the others will be on radio along side Rick Rizzs.
