AAA or Triple-A has been the highest level of the minor leagues since 1946. The leagues at this level have been the following:

Current:

• International League (1946-2019, 2022-)
• Pacific Coast League (1946-1951, 1958-2019, 2022-)

Former:

• American Association (1946-1962, 1969-1997)
• Inter-American League (1979)
• Mexican League (1967-2020)
• Triple-A East (2021)
• Triple-A West (2021)

The International League and Pacific Coast League were rebranded "Triple-A East" and "Triple-A West," respectively, following the 2021 restructuring of the minor league system, but they reverted to their traditional names in 2022.
