Triple-A West
The Triple-A West was established in 2021 as part of the reorganization of Minor League Baseball into the Professional Development League. It is one of two AAA sections of the League, the other being the Triple-A East (with the Mexican League continuing to operate at the AAA level within the system but outside the strict confines of the PDL). It was largely made up of former teams of the Pacific Coast League, which played its last season in 2019. The league lasted one year as in 2022, it was re-rebranded as the Pacific Coast League.
