Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Calihan was a college coach.
Calihan was an All-American basketball player in college and averaged 11 points per game in the National Basketball League from 1940-1949, missing three years due to Naval service in World War II. In 1947-1948, he was third in the league in points (806). He coached basketball at his alma mater from 1948-1969 and also coached their baseball team in 1953-1954; one of his baseball players was Jerry Schypinski. Dave DeBusschere was one of his basketball players.
