Biographical Information[edit]

Minor leaguer Ty Braziel played from 1947 to 1955 and from 1957 to 1958. In 1,264 career games, he hit .295 with 1,363 hits, 246 doubles, 71 triples and 47 home runs.

Notable seasons include 1948, when he hit a career-high .324 with 16 triples in 134 games for the Orlando Senators; 1949, when he had 10 triples for Orlando; 1952, when he hit .301 with 34 doubles in 123 games for the Greenville Spinners and 1954, when he hit .311 with 32 doubles, 10 triples, a career-high 12 home runs and a .526 slugging percentage in 116 games for the Topeka Owls. In 25 games with the Fulton Railroaders in 1950, he hit .369 with a .631 slugging percentage, though he hit only .275 on the year overall. He also hit .315 in 37 games for the Orlando Flyers in 1957.

He managed the Flyers for part of the 1958 season, replacing Charles Grant partway through the year.
