Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Mike Joyce started one game in his major league career. It was the second game of a doubleheader on July 29, 1962 as a member of the Chicago White Sox against the New York Yankees. He pitched 4 and 2/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 earned runs, walking 3 and striking out 1. He was also 2 for 2 at the plate. The White Sox won the game, 6-2, with Juan Pizarro picking up the win with 4 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
