Biographical Information[edit]

Bryan Clutterbuck pitched 20 games in 1986 and 14 games in 1989 for the Milwaukee Brewers, with a 2-6 record and 4.21 ERA in 34 games. His minor league career ran nine seasons, beginning in 1981, which included a 45-29 record from 1982 to 1985. After coaching for Taiwan's Uni-President Lions in 1992, he played two years in independent ball in 1994 and 1995.

Bryan was born in Detroit, MI in 1959, three years after Bob Welch was born in Detroit. He attended high school and college in Michigan. His time at Eastern Michigan overlapped with that of Pat Sheridan and Mickey Weston. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing. He died of colon cancer (obituary). An article [1] indicates that he was a three-sport athlete in high school, being especially good at baseball and football. In college, he did a lot of catching before his coach suggested he should pitch more. He had arm issues that affected his major league career. He later was a general manager for a couple independent teams and also coached.
