Biographical Information[edit]
Relief pitcher Mickey Sinks played in the Boston Red Sox system from 1962 to 1967.
He began his career with the Winston-Salem Red Sox and went 6-7 with 126 strikeouts and a 3.14 ERA in 129 innings. Back with Winston-Salem in 1963, he was 7-6 with a 2.81 ERA in 57 games (one start) and in 1964, he was 12-7 with a 2.39 ERA in 54 games for the Reading Red Sox.
He reached Triple-A for the first time in 1965 and went 7-4 with a 3.26 ERA in 57 games (three starts) for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Back with Toronto in 1966, he was 4-1 with a 3.23 ERA in 25 games. In 1967, his final season, he was 4-2 with a 2.48 ERA in 26 games (one start) for the Pittsfield Red Sox.
Overall, Sinks was 40-27 with a 2.91 ERA in 257 games (14 starts) over six seasons.
