Biographical Information[edit]

Utilityman Aldo Pecorilli played in the minor leagues from 1992 to 1998 and in Serie A1 in 1999. Undrafted, he was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals and remained in their system through 1994. He slashed .323/.400/.503 in 54 games for the Johnson City Cardinals his first year, then hit .305/.400/.472 with 14 home runs, 93 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 141 games for the Savannah Cardinals in 1993. His average slumped to .278 in 1994, though he hit a career-high 18 home runs for the St. Petersburg Cardinals.

On December 9, 1994, he was traded to the Atlanta Braves as the player to be named later in a deal that originally sent second baseman Ramón Caraballo to the Cardinals. He slashed .385/.438/.543 in 70 games for Atlanta's Double-A club in 1995, the Greenville Braves, then hit .260/.365/.425 in 49 games in his first taste of Triple-A with the Richmond Braves. He returned to Richmond for 1996, hitting .290/.343/.469 with 15 home runs. He rejoined the Cardinals system in 1997, hitting .360/.395/.559 in 31 games. He played in the Mexican League and in independent ball in 1998 and for Auriga Caserta of Serie A1 in 1999.

In the affiliated minor leagues, he hit .308/.381/.479 with 70 home runs, 355 RBI and 655 hits in 602 games overall. He batted .283/.349/.459 in 171 affiliated Triple-A games.
