Biographical Information[edit]
Malcolm "Mac" MacArthur pitched in six games for the Indianapolis Hoosiers in 1884.
MacArthur was born in Scotland, and is the only major leaguer through 2020 with the last name MacArthur, although Dixie McArthur spelled his last name in almost the same way.
Mac, who died in Detroit, MI, played most of his minor league career in the Midwest. He was at Saginaw in 1883, Minneapolis in 1884, Toledo for part of 1885, Hamilton in 1886, and Detroit and Lansing in 1889.
