Louisiana State University has been a baseball powerhouse, winning seven editions of the College World Series and producing over 50 major leaguers.

Shortly after winning its seventh CWS title in 2023, LSU became the first school to have the first top two pick in any Amateur Draft: P Paul Skenes went first overall and was immediately followed by OF Dylan Crews in the 2023 amateur draft.
