Biographical Information

Jack Lamabe was the Head Coach at Jacksonville University from 1974 to 1978 and Louisiana State University from 1979 to 1983.

From 1970 to 1973, he worked as a minor league pitching instructor in the Montreal Expos organization. He worked in the San Diego Padres' organization from 1984 to 1992 including the Beaumont Golden Gators in 1984-1985 [1] and Spokane Indians in 1991, and Charleston Rainbows in 1992. He was pitching coach of the Central Valley Rockies in 1993 and Asheville Tourists in 1994-1995, New Haven Ravens in 1996, Asheville again in 1997, Salem Avalanche in 1998, and Asheville again in 1999.

In his major league days, his main teammates were Carl Yastrzemski, Dick Radatz and Dick Stuart, as most of his time was spent with the Boston Red Sox. However, he won a World Series ring in 1967 pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals against the Red Sox.
