Biographical Information[edit]

Brett Laxton is the son of former major leaguer Bill Laxton and the brother of minor leaguer Josh Laxton and cousin of Jarret DeHart. He struck out a record 16 Wichita State University hitters as a freshman during a three-hit complete game shutout in the title game of the 1993 College World Series.

Laxton, a fastball pitcher, had his professional career derailed due to arm injuries and later pitched in the Chinese Professional Baseball League after having pitched in the independent Atlantic League.
