Biographical Information[edit]

Jerry Marchand played for the Baton Rouge Red Sticks in 1955, hitting .282 with eight home runs in 109 games.

He made his name as a football player at Louisiana State University, where he was a fullback. Now a member of the school's athletic Hall of Fame (elected 1954), he was team MVP in 1953 and was invited to play in the Senior Bowl and the Blue-Gray Classic that year.
