Biographical Information[edit]
David Grewe has been a college coach.
Grewe was a catcher and corner infielder at Dayton. He served as assistant coach at the University of Chicago (1999-2000), Central Michigan University (2001-2002) and the University of Notre Dame (2003-2005, under Paul Mainieri). He then was head coach of Michigan State University from 2006-2008, going 75-85.
Mainieri then hired Grewe again, as pitching coach, recruiting coordinator and associate head coach of Louisiana State University. The team won the 2009 College World Series thanks to the pitching of Louis Coleman and Anthony Ranaudo. His 2010 recruiting class was ranked #1 nationally by Collegiate Baseball. He spent seven years as a business consultant before returning to coaching as head coach of Milligan University for 2019. He lasted one season there, going 20-26.
