Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Cliff Godwin redshirted his freshman season, then started for four years at East Carolina University. He then played two years in the Frontier League.
Godwin was an assistant coach at Kinston High School in 2003, University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004, Vanderbilt University in 2005, University of Notre Dame in 2006, Louisiana State University in 2007-2008, University of Central Florida in 2009-2011, and University of Mississippi in 2012-2014.
Godwin became head coach at East Carolina University in 2015. He coached for Team USA in the 2022 Haarlem Baseball Week. Through 2023, he has taken ECU to the College World Series Regionals 8 of 9 years and the College World Series Super Regionals 4 times.
