Biographical Information[edit]

The son of minor leaguer Ned Eades, pitcher Ryan Eades was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 19th round of the 2010 amateur draft. He did not sign, opting to attend Louisiana State University instead. He was then taken by the Minnesota Twins in the second round of the 2013 amateur draft. He signed for a bonus of just under $1.3 million and made his pro debut with the Elizabethton Twins on July 9th.

He is only the second major leaguer whose last name starts "Ead". Don Eaddy was the first.
