Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Sean Ochinko played in the Toronto Blue Jays system from 2009 to 2015. He played parts of three seasons at Triple-A, but never ascended to the majors.

He was taken by Toronto in the 11th round of the 2009 amateur draft and was signed by scout Rob St. Julien. With the Auburn Doubledays that season, he hit .325/.382/.527 with 6 home runs and 32 RBI in 52 games and the next year, he hit .311/.360/.459 with 37 doubles in 109 games for the Lansing Lugnuts. Though his slash line fell to .261/.324/.447 in 2011, he still slugged 16 home runs with 79 RBI in 121 games for the Dunedin Blue Jays. He was selected to play in the 2012 Arizona Fall League, a fall circuit for promising prospects, after playing at two levels during the regular season. He split the next three seasons between Double-A and Triple-A, hitting .239/.290/.335 at the minors' highest level. He also played in the Arizona Fall League again in 2014.

Overall, he hit .273/.329/.425 with 49 home runs and 293 RBI in 546 regular season games over 7 seasons. He was a New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star in 2009 and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2010.
