Mid-Season All-Star
A Mid-Season All-Star is someone who is selected by a league as one of its best players up to the midpoint in the season. This is in contrast to the Post-Season All-Star who is selected for their performance for the season as a whole. Also, there are usually several players for each position, whereas the Post-Season All-Stars usually have just one player per position. Unlike Post-Season All-Stars, Mid-Season All-Star teams usually play in an exhibition All-Star Game.
