2008 CWS Regionals

The field of 64 teams in the 2008 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship is broken down into 16 4-team Regionals, played (typically) at the home site of the #1. The Regionals are grouped together in pairs for the Super Regionals.

The eight national seeds were University of Miami, University of North Carolina, Arizona State University, Florida State University, California State University, Fullerton, Rice University, Louisiana State University, and University of Georgia. All eight won their Regionals, with six winning their Super Regionals and advancing to the College World Series. Thirteen of the Regionals were won by the #1 seed, as compared to only seven #1s to advance the previous year.
